International Labor & Employment Law

We advise and represent individuals who face issues arising from international employment due to, for example, their work for a multinational corporation or their transfer from one country to another.  In these cases, we examine employee rights issues, as discussed in the Employment Law section of our PRACTICE AREAS, in the context of international as well as national laws.  The international aspect of employee rights is significant because in some countries, such as European Union member states, core labor and employment rights are not merely rights arising from labor-management contracts, which may be contracted or legislated away, but are fundamental rights protected by national laws and regional human rights treaties.
